What will you find
on this page?

The purpose of this page is to keep you informed about the research projects we are conducting or have completed. Here you will find detailed information on:

Environmental factors

  • Biological mechanisms: What are the exact mechanisms that lead to the development of lipedema?
  • Vascular mechanism: What is the role of the venolymphatic system in the progression of lipedema?
  • Genetic factors: Are there specific genetic predispositions to this condition?
  • Effective treatments: What are the most effective treatments for managing and treating lipedema?
  • Prevention: How can the onset and progression of lipedema be prevented?

Our research projects

Vascular approach to lipedema

A study is currently underway in Toulouse to better understand the role of blood vessels in lipedema. The objective is to improve the understanding of the disease and patient care.
2027

International Scientific Congress on Lipedema

Organization of an international scientific congress dedicated to lipedema. Location: Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie – Parc de la Villette, Paris. Objective: To bring together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals around scientific advancements, diagnosis, and therapeutic strategies.

Anti-fibrosis biotechnological research

Biotechnological research project dedicated to the study of fibrosis mechanisms in lipedema. Objective: To develop innovative approaches targeting tissue fibrosis in order to improve treatments and patients' quality of life.

Ongoing projects

Descriptions of ongoing studies and research, with regular updates on their progress.

Completed projects

Presentations of completed research, the results obtained, and their implications for understanding and treating lipedema.

While awaiting our first projects

We are currently laying the necessary groundwork to launch our first research projects. This includes identifying scientific partners, recruiting researchers, and raising the funds essential to finance these initiatives. Your support is crucial in turning these ambitions into tangible realities.

Without funding, none of this can be achieved. Donations are vital to advancing lipedema research. They enable us to cover study costs, acquire necessary equipment, and support researchers dedicated to this cause. Every contribution, regardless of size, makes a significant difference.

By supporting our association, you become a key stakeholder in the fight against lipedema. Together, we can make progress toward a better understanding of the condition and improve the lives of those affected by it.
